Rokide® HPI HT rod is a high purity aluminum oxide rod designed exclusively for use with a Rokide Ceramic Spray System. The rod is manufactured by the Saint-Gobain company to HPI specifications for installation of our free filament strain gages. Rokide® rods are available in many ceramic oxide compositions for a wide range of applications.
Flame Spray Materials For Strain Gage Attachment
Rokide HPI HT Rod: A high purity alumina rod used for attaching nickel, cobalt, or iron based alloy sensors using the Rokide flame spray process. Bonds well to most metals and some ceramics. Excellent strain transfer and outstanding erosion protection. Superior durability. Useable to 2300°F (1260ºC).
Rokide HPI S Rod: Standard Rokide rod but lower purity. Useable to 750°F (400ºC). Often used for practice.
Nichrome Rod: This rod is used for spraying Nichrome V alloy coating (80Ni 20Cr) to provide a base coat for spot welding. Spraying is done using a Rokide spray gun.
